Buck 055 Folding Knife with Ebony Handle

The Buck55Knifeis a half-size version of the 110, Buck’s bestselling knife (thus the name, The 55). The 55 is a compact everyday carry with the classic 110 Knife style, and a blade notch for easy opening. Therazor sharp clip-point blade is crafted from 420HC stainless steel, and the knife features striking genuine ebony handles with brass bolsters.

The hand-sharpened clip-point blade has a crescent tip that creates a thinner blade edge with a sharper point. This allows for detail work and cutting in tight spaces. It is also well-suited for creating punctures such as new holes in your belt.

When opened fully, the 2.38-inch blade on the55locks safely into position with a lock back design. When closed, the knife is just 3.38-inches for convenient everyday carry.

The blade of the55Knife is made of Buck’s standard 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Buck’s exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpenwhen needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

When the blade is fully opened, it locks securely into place. The lock is released by pushing down on the rocker visible on the top of the knife and folding the blade closed.
